B&B Varò Taormina

Great location, and such nice and welcoming host!!

Our stay at B&B Varò Taormina was the highlight of our time in this beautiful part of Sicily. Our time was made extra special by our fabulous hosts Alessandra and Federico. They were always quick to respond from the time we made our reservation to the time we left their beautiful B&B. They were extremely considerate about food allergies. It was with great care they prepared breakfast every morning on their beautiful scenic rooftop with views of the sea and Mt. Etna. Alessandra and Federico were always ready with suggestions and recommendations for places to visit, eat, and things to do in Taormina. They suggested places where locals enjoy going, not just tourists. Alessandra was particularly good with sharing clear and precise directions when getting around Taormina. They left no stone unturned to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The location of the B&B is as good as it gets. It’s right off the main strip, as well as within walking distance to landmarks and the bus station. We had the pleasure of making new friends with not just Alessandra and Federico, but also the couple who were staying there during the same time as us. We enjoyed spending an evening together on their terrace with pizza and drinks. We highly recommend B&B Varò if you’re visiting Taormina! We hope to come back and will definitely stay here.

Fantastic hosts, genuinely hospitable and keen to provide loads of helpful information, and the B&B was located in an incredible location.

Room was on the small and basic side but was comfortable and clean nevertheless.

Alex and Federico are delightful and extremely helpful and made the stay wonderful.

Wow! What an amazing place to stay if you’re visiting Taormina. Fantastic location and absolutely stunning view from both the roof terrace and our little private terrace. We cannot fault Alessandra and Frederico, they were so kind and hospitable. Thank you so much for all of the suggestions of places to go and advice, you really helped make our trip special! If you’re thinking of visiting Taormina this is an amazing, clean and welcoming place to stay with lovely hosts :)

Amazing location and hosts

Location

Staying at B&B Varo with Alex and Federico exceeded all our expectations. They truly are hosts that go above and beyond. Their recommendations were excellent and made our trip - they recommended the best granita place in all of Sicily (we ate granita everywhere in the island and this was by far the best) and the most incredible tour of Mount Etna that was one of the highlights of our trip. Here's what you need to know: - The location is excellent, straight in the middle of town, with amazing views of the town, the sea, and Mount Etna - The breakfast is delicious - try the brioche with the jams and the pistachio cream - and the view from the breakfast terrace is unbeatable - The hosts are great and will make you feel welcome, providing recommendations that only locals could (for example, where the nice beaches actually are, because Isola Bella looks beautiful in pictures but is overly crowded and built up with restaurants) - There is a lift so you don't have to carry any bags up the stairs Truly a 10/10 stay, we could not recommend this place more. A real B&B experience, so rare to find these days.

Lovely, unusual building in a great location. The roof top terrace had fabulous views and was a delightful place for breakfast. The owners made us very welcome and provided lots of useful information and recommendations.
