Droombos Boutique Hotel

Room was spacious and in a quite area of the complex. All the amenities that one would expect from an establishment. Friendly staff in reception, at the gate and in the restaurants.

One very small dustbin in the bathroom . Another dustbin in the room would have been helpful. The outside lights were a bit of a disturbance since the window in the door and some of the other windows next to it didn't have curtains. Switching off the lights at around 22:00 or adding more curtains will help. Service in the restaurant weren't great. It felt like there were too few waiters/waitresses for the amount of tables. More than once I had to get up to call a waiter.

Very well put together making it a destination.

Conveniently located between airport and city, nicely decorated rooms, comfy beds, nice gardens, secure parking. Food was good, bar has nice atmosphere, would definitely stay again.

We were told when checking in that the water in the fridge door is complementary, so I drank all 3 of small bottles that were in my fridge - then got charged for two as now being told that only one per person is free… Also a lot of confusion because according to reception we made the wrong room a double ( we had booked 2 single and 1 double room and let the couple decide which of the three rooms they wanted) According to reception at check out they choose the wrong room which led to 20 min discussion and delay of check out as now things could not be charged correctly to the rooms…? As one person paid for all extras together we did not get at all why it was so complicated.

Droombos is definitely where you want to be if you want some peace and quiet. The establishment is so tranquil, with lots of greenery and fountains giving you that sense of serenity The Staff is so kind! They are efficient and so observant. Such a pleasure to have been under their care Big Shout out to the Head waitor Brian and the Chef Petro. They made my stay extra special! Even took me on a tour of the town after their shift! Amazing experience with good people👯‍♀️🥳

Staff at reception not friendly. Rude even. Not a smile, not a friendly word on arrival. Rude on departure because we had not left the room in time. Check out time was not communicated. Wanted to charge for breakfast while is was included in the room. Apparently we had ordered something from the menu what was not included, but waiter should have mentioned this. In the end it was not about the charge, it was about the absolute lack of customer focus from the reception staff. Attitude of reception staff reflects on the image of a hotel.

The rooms had bugs in (flies, Miskito, grasshoppers.) The river come down and couldn’t reach the property. Had to arrange alternative accommodation 19h00 in the evening on my own cost while still was charged for a room not used. They did offer to collect me with a 4x4 but they expected me to leave my car in a very unsafe location. Breakfast was a disaster no proper communication on what a quest could eat. Had to pay in 85 dollars for a juice made with half a glass of water. Check out took for ever as the lady had to go and ask for help. I paid cash for the juice at breakfast saying that I didn’t want it on my accommodation bill but they still added on a the bill. Really very unprofessional establishment. They do not advice to drink tap water but then only leave 200ml bottel in room and nobody answers phone number at night so we can buy more water. Kettle was dirty inside.
