It was clean. Secure parking for cars. Bunk beds nice for kids. Easy access to get in and out main property with your own keys. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Good location very close to good restaurant two doors up.

The overnight stay isn't very expensive, but it isn't cheap either. You expect a certain amount of thought and empathy for yourself as a guest when paying for this service. In light of this, the building feels like very little money has been spent on maintenance. Nothing was broken (as such), but none of the doors or cupboard hinges have been oiled in ages: everything squeaks and groans loudly as you open and close it. The double-bed (bizarrely) had a floor fan bolted onto the wall on the one side, to blow air directly onto the face of one sleeper. It feels like the owners/management have never tried sleeping in their own establishment: the beds were uncomfortable and the pillows fat and hard. The driveway security light shone through our thin curtains all night. We slept really badly - which sucks when you have to drive for 8 hours the next day. While I appreciate that the house is old, the noise from the sagging wooden floors is just crazy - you have to creep around like a cat burglar to not wake your own small children up, never mind the other guests as you leave early in the morning. As an overnight stay, in close quarters with other families/guests, it makes it non-restful. We were staying in the main house, and we left before breakfast to get an even earlier start, but the fairly unpleasant smell of fried food (boerewors) hung around from the moment we arrived until we left - I'm not sure if this is because the staff had pre-cooked breakfast the day before, because no one was in the kitchen when we left around 6am.

The room was very clean as well as the bathroom. We loved our breakfast. Well done on such a beautiful bed and breakfast. You really have done a great Job!

The room was too close to the dining/ kitchen area and very noisy in the morning. We wanted to sleep longer because we arrived very late, but we could not once the breakfast rush started.

Kenneth was very friendly and loved to chat to the guests. The breakfast was good and they were able to accommodate my dietary preferences.
