The one guest room is spacious and comfortable with wonderful views of the countryside and mountains. It is stuffed with books and there's eco products and a variety of complimentary snacks and drinks. We had a glorious breakfast in a sunny spot and chatted with Rhys and Anne, who are delightful hosts. Rhys gave us a map so that we could explore the local reserve and we were delighted to see some fantails on our walk.

The breakfast choices were excellent and large servings. The room was large and great options of books, DVDs and games although we had taken our own.

Excellent facilities, Rhys and Anna are very friendly and helpfull in providing travel information. Breakfast was extensive, you can select from a variety dishes which are prepared freshly. Kotare is located in a beautyfull landscape and can also serve as a base camp for a longer stay.

The breakfast was very enjoyable and delicious. There was lots of home grown organic produce and baking. Rhys and Anna were a goldmine of knowledge on the history and attractions of the area and one of Anna's suggestions turned out to be a highlight of our trip around South Canterbury. The accommodation was peaceful, modern, and very warm and comfortable.

There was nothing negative about our stay.

The house we stayed in is new, well designed, and has got architectural award. It has farm view and the mountain view. All the things are exceptionally clean. The host are super friendly and has attention to detail. The breakfast they made was far beyond our expectation that local produce was used, and the host would give you lots of choice for your breakfast. We had made different selections for breakfast each day.
