The room was a great size for the 4 of us. Beds comfy, room clean and en-suite excellent. Kettle, fridge and welcoming tea or coffee facilities nice touch.

The property is immaculate, rooms are spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location is perfect, just a few minutes from Portmagee with ample parking and beautiful views. Leonie and Martin are very welcoming and friendly people, I highly recommend staying with them and * to myself again. I loved the animals at the property. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We stayed at Valentia View for two nights, choosing this guesthouse based on the excellent reviews. The house itself looks very beautiful, and the location is quiet and peaceful. Our room was clean, spacious, and everything was functional. The atmosphere is calm, which is great for relaxing.

It is important to note that the outdoor area is private and not accessible to guests — there are “Privat” signs everywhere. The entrance for guests is from the back of the house, next to the bins for waste sorting, which is not the most welcoming first impression. The room, although clean, felt quite minimal and lacked personal touches that would make the stay more cozy. We only saw the host at check-in in the evening; after that, we didn’t see anyone. During check-out, there was no one around, and we weren’t sure where to leave the key. Later, the host called us by phone to clarify, but unfortunately, due to roaming, we had additional costs for the call. A bit more personal contact and clearer instructions would make the stay more comfortable.

My daugther loved the animals and how Martin introduced them to her. Good recommendations from Martin too about surroundings. The beds were very confortable.

Beautiful house with nice surroundings and animals. Perfect location for exploring Valentia and Skaellig Islands (Only 8 min to Portmagee).

We spent 2 nights there. Large, well kept room with large bath. Beds extremely comfortable. Great location for our trip to the Skelligs. Great view of and easy access to Valentia Island. Had good meals in Pormagee and Knightstown.

The host warmly greeted us but didn't fully orient us to the room. There was pot for tea and teas in a small side room which we found after he left. We expected breakfast to be included (from a review we read) but he told us they stopped doing breakfasts because guests were too particular and hard to please. He wasn't clear on places for breakfast in the area. There was a lovely view but no chairs outside from which to sit and enjoy the view. We stayed 2 nights and had no further interaction with the host after our arrival.
