A quiet and old nice Inn. Paddy is welcoming and friendly. Very big portion of English breakfast. Bedding is comfortable, I had room2, view is nice, overlooking Dartmoor NP on the right. Beautiful stream walk to one of the Stepping stones (about 15min walk up, enter after the bridge, by the left) in Dartmoor and along the right side of the main road is the combestone.

If weather turn bad, should have stay one more night.

I would like to thank Paddy for all his help, he couldn't have done more, he was an absolute trooper, even though the pub had to shut due to a local event, he made me a meal and made the stay an absolute pleasure. plenty of coffee and tea in the room, and a very good telly, plus the bed was warm and comfortable

Rooms are a bit tired, could do with a refresh and a coat of paint

"Nettes Personal in schäbiger Unterkunft"

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zugewandt. Viel mehr positives gibt es nicht zu sagen.

Am unangenehmsten war der Frittiergeruch nach Frittieröl, der den ganzen Tag im ganzen Haus vorherrschte. Man musste die Zimmertür geschlossen halten. Das Gebäude selbst ist in jedem Winkel sanierungsbedürftig. Alles ist alt, nicht gepflegt und es waren Risse und alte Bohrlöcher in den Wänden unseres Zimmers. Von einer Stelle mit Schimmel überm Fenster ganz zu schweigen. Die Matratze war alt und instabil. Wir hatten 2 unruhige Nächte. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche ist viel zu schwach, von einem angenehmen Duscherlebnis kann nicht die Rede sein.Es scheint das einzige Zimmer mit Dusche im Haus zu sein.

"Great location and great breakfast!"

The location of where we stayed was excellent and we enjoyed a great English breakfast! The customer service received was friendly, helpful and always accommodating if we needed to request for something. Thank you!

We were little disappointed of how small our room was and also the dinner menu was quite basic.

Interessantes gewöhnungsbedüftiges Hotel, Parkplatz kostenlos vor der Tür, gutes Essen nach langer Wartezeit.

Sauberkeit. Zimmer mit Bad gebucht, aber Bad dann zum Zimmer getrennt über dem Flur
