Black Lantern Inn

Een hele fijne en schone kamer met een heerlijk bed. Heerlijk ontbijt in de ochtend. Een echt thuis gevoel.

Een klein puntje wat eigenlijk niet noemenswaardig is. Het was wel wat lawaaierig met de weg die er langs gaat. Maar we begrepen dat ze bezig waren met een nieuwe weg en dat het tijdelijk was. We hebben er niet veel last van gehad.

Location perfect for us. Very friendly hosts. Great breakfast.

The bathroom outside the room was very nice, but a bit awkward, as we always had to ‘dress’ to use the bathroom since it was in a common area.

L’emplacement juste à la sortie de l’autoroute , mais aucun bruit car les chambres sont bien insonorisées. L’emplacement permet de s’y rendre facilement ( parking gratuit sur place), et de facilement rejoindre tout ce qu’il y a à voir à Roanoke. Les hôtes sont adorables et aux petits soins. Le petit déjeuner maison était excellent

The property was beautiful and the accommodations were very comfortable. My only comment would be the accessibility. There are a lot of stairs, so patrons should be aware of that in advance. Also, the lighting in the bathroom was very dim.

I loved the historic feel of the property. It was very clean, comfortable, and well decorated.

We were only in Roanoke for a brief stopover but had a lovely stay at the Black Lantern Inn. Our room was clean and comfortable and Cindy and Doug the new owners were wonderful hosts. Breakfast on the balcony was delicious and Cindy was very accommodating in ensuring mine was gluten free. Highly recommended!

The owners are awesome. They went out of their way to make our weekend as good as possible. The room was beautiful, very clean, cozy, and comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at Black Lantern Inn. The home was beautiful and our room was extremely comfortable. Our hosts Cindy and Doug were so thoughtful, welcoming us, sharing recommendations for the area and ensuring we had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent (and thoughtfully accommodated dietary restrictions) and the bed extremely comfortable. We would happily stay here again!

We have stayed at the Black Lantern several times and stayed in all 3 of the rooms. All were very clean and comfortable. The new owner, Cindy, was very pleasant and the place was clean and the breakfast delicious. She has carried on where the past owners, Chris and Jayne left off. We will be back next year for sure!
