Al Catillo

Host super gentile, ci è venuto incontro per il check in anticipato w ci ha dato l occcasione se avessimo voluto di lasciare l auto nel parcheggio recintato della struttura dall altro lato della strada sull entrata secondaria. La colazione buonissima: brioches fresca, muesli per lo yogurt, torta cioccolato e pere fatta da lui così come il mini tiramisù; in più macedonia di frutta fresca. Comodissima per Villa d Este a 10 minuti a piedi. Camera bella spaziosa così come il bagno. STRA-CONSIGLIATO!

L unico inconveniente per chi arriva in auto e come noi ha valigie pesanti e la lunga rampa di scale che porta all accesso secondario( l ho pero ci ha aiutato) .Nella struttura c è però montacarichi per portare ai piani superiori delle stanze le valige.

Giacomo et Stefano sont vraiment très accueillants. Parking privé top ! Très calme

Wow! A fantastic find. Al Catillo is a converted Convent and has been beautifully restored. The building is stunning. Our room was large with high quality linen, towels and nice toiletries. We slept extremely well in the comfy bed. It was all immaculately clean. Each floor had its own drinks station with coffee machine, kettle, tea bags and chilled bottles of water. The breakfast was more than we could eat: a bowl of fruit and yogurt, scrambled eggs, ham & cheese, cornetto, apple cake plus other items we didn’t get too! Al Catillo has been run by Stefano and his wife Christina for 12 years. It is a B&B, so Stefano is not on the premises at all times, however if needed you can contact him by WhatsApp and he is very quick to respond. You have access with the pass keys to come and go as much as you want. Stefano could not have been more helpful; providing lots of local knowledge, allowing us to check in early and waiting for us to arrive from the train and holding our cases on the last morning so we could enjoy our last few hours in Tivoli. Thank you Stefano and Christina for our lovely stay.

La struttura dell edificio e molto bella. Si tratta di un vecchio convento ristrtturato con gusto e con stile. I gestori sono sono simpatici e gentilissimi.

Manca l'ascensore.

The place has an amazing potential. Location was amazing Hosts were extremely communicative and helpful. I honestly wanted it to be a 10 Parking was an important bonus. Room was nice and well designed. Coffee machine in the on the floor was great.

"God is in the details " We stayed in many B&B in Italy. This one unfortunately has a wonderful potential, but isn't there yet. The value vs price isn't good. When stating on booking shower or bath, it means some rooms have a bath. If client specifically requested a bath but you have non, you need to reply and update. It was stated on booking that room has courtyard and mountain view, but alas the balcony is blocked by strange metal boards there is neither light no view. The bathroom did have that view! As for that shower, doesn't matter how long we waited all we got was warm water , not hot. But I couldn't complain or contact the host at 22:00 At 22:00 we also realized that the safe isn't actually working. At night we also realized it is cold, but no extra blanket. It was pointless complaining in the morning. Breakfast was ok but very very minimal, for an example we had a little plate with a bit of scrambled egg, 2 pieces of ham and 2 little pieces of cheese. only after eating ithe egg I realized it was for the 2 of us. The host gave us some more egg (no ham :)) but it was embarrassing. There was very little of everything else, when comparing with other family B&B.

Location was excellent for walking to local historical attractions and local dining. Hosts Stefano and Sophia were lovely. Very accommodating and welcoming.

The hotel was very up to date and super clean. The breakfast was excellent to get the day started.
