The hosts make you feel at home and part of the family, from greeting you upon arrival and showing you the palace, suggesting and booking the evening restaurant, breakfast is truly a feast, and not forgetting James a wonderful hound.

Beautifully restored and decorated piece of history. Lovely hosts, farm animals and ostriches. Lovely rooms and swimming pool for hot days.Great stop- off on way to Addo from Cape Town

Gorgeous building, real one of a kind. Super friendly hosts, sorted a reservation for us for dinner in town and were very welcoming

It is quite remote and not that close to town, so driving is essential. But that wasn't an issue for us

"A great place to stay"

Beautifully styled, great service, tasty breakfast and comfy rooms. Splendidly quiet and beautiful views. Owners were great hosts and James the dog brightened up our morning!

The only negative was the bathroom was very cold, but completely appreciate it is an old building so goes with the territory!
