Pimpioxelli

Very friendly host!

Pimpioxelli is located on a quiet street in an otherwise lively neighborhood. The hosts, Lilli and Gianni, were very warm and welcoming and accommodated our late arrival. They advised us where to eat and let us try Gianni's homemade limoncello, made with lemons from their daughter's garden. We stayed in the pink room, which is fairly basic but great value for money and the (firm) mattress was very comfortable. The bathroom didn't have a bathtub, but a shower. The place is decorated with antiques and personal knick knacks, the cosy courtyard is full of Lilli's beloved plants. The hosts live on the ground floor but mostly keep to themselves and give their guests plenty of privacy.

Gianni and Lilli speak very little English, but that was easily fixed with my limited Italian and google translate. The breakfast is served at a fixed time, together with the other guests. It is classic italian: pastries, (delicious and all home made!) jams, and fresh fruit, no savoury options. The coffee was great and Gianni made us an extra pot when we ran out. The bathroom and toilet are in the same room, and shared with other rooms. This made for some uncomfortable situations with timing and smells. Overall it was lovely and I would recommend staying here, it's just good to know these things ahead of time, I think. I would stay here again.

The people are so kind and offered to make me and my friend breakfast. They were so accommodating to my friends and I stay, we wanted to stay longer. Beautiful place and lovely people.

Everything is perfect

The hosts made this place feel like a home away from home. The breakfast was full of fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt. Coffee and tea prepared as soon as you came down. We had returned our rental car to spend our last few days in Cagliari and this was a great location to bus to the beach within 30 minutes and to the city within 30 minutes. Ideal!

Lily and Gianni are exceptional hosts! They are super sweet and welcoming. I spent 3 days at their place, everything was perfect, the room was cozy, clean, and beautiful, and their apartment is easily reachable, close to bus stops from where you can be in the city center or at the beach in no time. The breakfast they served was super delicious and rich with fruits, sweets, and delicious coffee. They suggested me a really nice pizzeria in the neighborhood and gave me all the information I needed about the area. They are really the best host you can imagine, their place and hospitality is exceptional, I was lucky to stay at their place! Thank you again! <3
