Superb breakfast

Strawberry House is an excellent B&B situated on a quiet residential road overlooking the town and the river valley. This was our second visit and, as before, we had no difficulty in being able to park the car in the street outside the house. Strawberry House is run by charming people, Sue and Richard, and is very smart in terms of decor, furnishings etc. Our room was a decent size, very nicely furnished and equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast, which was pre-ordered the night before, is served in an attractive dining room and after some very nice fresh fruit salad and yogurt we both had cooked breakfasts which fully met my three simple requirements, ie good quality ingredients, perfectly cooked and nicely presented. On the second morning we opted for the Eggs Benedict which were also excellent and highly recommended. From our perspective Strawberry House ticks all the boxes perfectly. It is a lovely house; parking is easy; it is a short walk down delightful Frenchgate to the Market Place; it is also a short walk to beautiful Easby Abbey if you fancy a stroll; and as a bonus if you are feeling lazy - there is a very good pub at the top of Frenchgate.

Everything, it was very clean, warm and beautifully decorated. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, they couldn’t do enough for you. Well the breakfasts my friend and I felt truly spoilt, everything was done to perfection and nothing was any trouble.

We had a lovely, clean and comfortable room and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Parking was available and the hosts were very helpful with information and suggestions for touring and dining in Richmond. The location was excellent with a short walk bringing us to all the main attractions.

The owners, Sue and Richard were very friendly, helpful and made our stay really enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The B&B was excellent. The bedroom, itself, was lovely comfortable, clean with plenty of storage, and a nice ensuite bathroom with hot shower. Tea and coffee facilities were available in the room. Pre-ordered breakfast was freshly cooked, tasty and plentiful. A good selection of cereals, fruits and yogurt were also available. Plenty of on-road parking opposite their house. An easy short 10 minute saunter into the Richmond Market square, where you can find plenty of excellent restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. There is a lot to see and do in Richmond itself as well as the surrounding countryside. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Overall a memorable and pleasurable experience. Would highly recommend a stay at Strawberry House.
