Isuru Cabanas and Restaurant

Short but very pleasant stay!

Amazing location, pretty special. Little quiet village very close to the ocean… the cabanas are in a little paradise garden, it’s so green, lush and very relaxing. Breakfast was good and fresh juice (smoothie) was included. Barely any tourists, so it’s a perfect place to relax and get away from the crowds. We had a scooter and really enjoyed to drive around little roads surrounded by Mangrove forest, lake… if you like nature and want to relax, it’s a perfect place. Cabanas have no a/c, only fan, but it was OK for us. Great value for money, so we were happy.

Although a little less space inside due to the huge comfy bed, it was perfect for my needs. Towels and toilet rolls were also provided. The outside space also suited me well, used for eating, sketching and enjoying the local wild life. Its location was just a few minutes walk from the beach, other than turtles and turtle protection members, i had it to myself. One of the family members works at the turtle centre and informed me when a turtle had arrive to lay her eggs, he came to get me up and took me to view this wonderful spectacle ☺️ A good selection of menu was provided and compared to more central areas the prices were good 👍 i usually provide my own breakfast but here i was able to afford two meals. A welcoming coconut drink on arrival and cared for during my stay by the lovely Isuru and his wife Keshari - i couldn’t have asked for more. If you want peace, nature and a beach - well look no further.

Bathroom was dark due to the paint colour but adequately lit.

Silent place in the Jungle near beach :) Scooter recommended. Super friendly housekeepers :)

One of the best homestays we’ve been during our 2 months in Sri Lanka. The owner is a very young guy who is incredibly kind, thoughtful and always making sure we have everything we need. The room was very clean, the bed super comfortable and the bathroom big. The rooms are in the middle of nature and just 5 min walking to the beach. The food was delicious and very filling, with very good price, and we appreciated the attention for details. Highly recommended!

The cabana was lovely looking out to nature. The owner and his family were very helpful and attentive. The food was delicious. The owner showed us where to hire kayaks too. Highly recommend.
