B&B Villa Giorgia

Very cozy place, quite and amazing view to Etna. The room where nice and bathroom new and very clean. The house lady, Pina, was very nice and helpfull. Very good breakfast🥰

The hotel owner, Pina Raneri, is incredibly attentive! The room is clean and tastefully decorated! The delicious breakfast on the terrace offers a wonderful view of Mount Etna!

The location was excellent with walking distance to the shops and restaurants.The views from the main pateo and our room were breathtaking. Pina was very friendly and I love her decor throughout the house...very artistic and charming. We had breakfast every morning on the main pateo.

What a welcoming haven in Taormina. It was so heart warming to have contact with our gracious host Mrs Pina for weeks ahead and to be phoned already at the airport to see how we were doing (took a while to find Avis etc.). The view of Etna volcano and its plume of smoke was magnificent from the flower-tangled balcony where we ate a delicious breakfast and met other travellers (total only 3 rooms). Most guests we met were doing a Sicily round trip by car and spent a couple of nights at Villa Giorgia (we stayed longer). Many guests return - one couple had already booked Christmas. Guests have access to the very arty, elegant and cosy living room - it feels like home - the kind of home you want to have. The walls are adorned with colourful paintings and memorabilia, and there are piles of books. When it rains you eat breakfast at a long table indoors. Our bedroom was small but delightfully furnished and hung with art - with one of those princess-style crowns above the bed that you see in traditional decor. The shower was large and had a hand shower I managed to work so I avoided wet hair. Loo at bidet.

The wifi was not working due to some construction work. The gorgeous view facing Etna comes with a downside - you need to do a hefty walk up the hill back home. Not really a problem for the young and fit - and quite healthy even for the old and decrepit if you do it in the cooler evening. No good going to town by car as there is almost no parking to find in Taormina. A taxi would cost about 15 eur.

PIna’s house was just truly amazing with lots of family history and quirky furniture it was just perfect for our last two nights stay. The views from the balcony and overlooking Etna were just breathtaking. Thank you Pina for being a wonderful generous host.
