Wonderful meals, very kind and friendly owners, beautiful surroundings

What a fantastic place! 21 years of renovation, attention to detail and lots of money I guess. The result, an atmospheric hotel in a fairly remote location with an utterly amazing view from the terrace up the beautiful Aspe valley towards Spain. The work of Javier and Julie who are also brilliant hosts. Javier is happy to tell the story which he has no doubt done many times over! Julie cooks and the guests eat around one table and conversation flows. The food and drinks are priced very fairly considering that once you get there you won’t want to go elsewhere. The food was also delicious! I could go on but suffice to say, that if you’re heading to Spain via the Pyrenees, take the Somport tunnel route and stop here. You won’t be disappointed.

Au delà du charme du décor médiéval de la chambre et de l'auberge en général, si l'on choisit aussi d'y dîner, Javier et Julie savent nous offrir une délicieuse expérience non seulement gustative, mais aussi de convivialité et échanges. Une agréable surprise!

Une auberge au charme médiévale, décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Une chambre avec vue magnifique sur les Pyrénées. Un accueil chaleureux et des diners excellents !

Il manque un simple rideau occultant sur la fenêtre avec vue pour la nuit

What an amazing place! These are the best views we have had in the Pyrenees. Adorable charming town, gorgeous setting, incredible architecture, and the absolute nicest hosts. Do stay for dinner, the dining room is special and the food is wonderful. I have a gluten allergy and it was not a problem. Julie even made homemade gluten free bread! Immaculately clean. Stay more than one night if you can, we can’t wait to return.
