Antonio was the sweetest guy. Buffet could do with a spruce up. But the man can make a mean coffee and would bend over backwards for his guests :)

I seldom write negative comments about our selected stays as I generally do a lot of research before selecting accommodations on Booking. However, I am compelled to send out a huge red flag on this facility which is touted as “Luxury” on their exterior sign and map advertisement. I am still looking for the luxury. While Antonio, his daughter, and his wife appear sincere and helpful there is not much else to highlight. Other good aspects are that they are only 50 Meters from the Herculanum ruins, the WiFi is excellent, and the room decently appointed. There are many negatives. It is very difficult to locate as the sign is barely recognizable due to its small size. It is located in a very large 18th Century building which also contains many individual apartments so access to the various doors is a bit challenging. There is no 24-hour reception and Antonio is some driving time away. Check in must be closely coordinated through What’s APP. You must call Antonio if you need assistance. Breakfast is slightly more than minimal. Prepackaged snacks, some fresh fruits, yogurt and a nice outside prepared croissant. NO hot items like eggs, hot toast etc. I understand there may be some government restrictions on food prep, but don’t promote this lodging as luxury if they cannot provide it. Also, no shampoo, no conditioner, no bar soap. Only liquid soap in an awkward dispenser. Again, not luxury. The outside noise from a busy all-night road disrupts sleep. The worst part is we stayed three nights, and the towels were never replaced, and the bed was never made. Interestingly, they came in and emptied the bathroom trash receptacle. In order to do that, they had to walk past the dirty towels on the floor and the unmade bed, thereby essentially disregarding services normally provided by an average hotel, much less a luxury hotel. I suggest passing on this facility.

See above comments. I noticed some of the replies from the staff seemed quite defensive. I submit my comments to help other travelers and not to trash the owners. I tried to keep my comments professional and accurate and hope any replies to my comments would be made in the same vein.

Ideal location for visiting Herculaneum ruins 2 minutes walk). Simple, comfortable apartment for 4, with a nice bathroom. Helpful owner, who gave us recommendations for local eateries and asked us what breakfast pastries we wanted. Nice outdoor terrace for breakfast.

Nitpicking here, but it was a little noisy in the morning (directly opposite the post office), and some of the breakfast items were not to our liking, but that’s very personal.

Very comfortable and spacious and super location in the center of Ercolano. Very close to Herculaneum ruins, restaurants and bus station, all which could be easily reached on foot. Breakfast good and served on a Patio overlooking the sea. And Antonio is a great host.
