The rooms and the food was good for the price

Location was great, close to a good park, road not busy outside (although you can sometimes hear the A465). Kind and helpful staff, very welcoming. Bed was so comfortable, slept well, bathroom was very clean and shower good and warm. It was like a very homely place to stop at, no pretensions, just warmth and everything you need.

It would be good to have a seat for enjoying the cosy comfort of the room.

The pub was easy to find and everyone I met was friendly and welcoming. My room was clean and the bathroom spotless. The description did not advertise tea and coffee making facilities however, there was a kettle provided in the room. Tea/coffee/milk/mugs were provided for guests' use on the landing area.

The description advertises free parking. Although I was asked to provide vehicle details, parking space was not apparent or seemingly available. That being said, there was on road parking opposite the pub. The TV had poor reception so it wasn't watchable. I only stayed for one night so not a deal-breaker.
