The Courtyard

Absolutely perfect!!

Very friendly welcome, good parking, super quiet location, great breakfast.

Lovely place to stay, just 10 mins from Newmarket. Room had everything and the host was so helpful and nice. Would 100% recommend.

Superb location but could be hard to find if you didn't follow the directions. Beautiful view, lovely room, delicious breakfast, lovely hostess.

The room was all we needed in a base for a day at Newmarket Races. Yvonne was welcoming and even gave us a lift in which was ideal. And she cooks a mean breakfast.

Quiet and peaceful surroundings, close to the amenities of Newmarket.

Beautiful location in a small village and just over a five minute drive to Newmarket. The house is in a courtyard up a short driveway. The buildings look quite historical but I didn't delve into the history of the place during my visit. There is a local pub a short walk away and there are many hiking routes that can be started from the village. A good spot for some star gazing as there are not that many street lights, the village is also a good distance from any major road so the noise from road traffic is very minimal.

The only negative was finding the entrance to the Courtyard as there is no clear signage and it took a few minutes and a spot of luck in choosing the right driveway to find the place. I'm sure it would have been fine if I had contacted the host and asked.

Would have liked some fresh fruit at breakfast, and a bedside light on each side of the bed.
