Mays Cottage Bed and Breakfast

My partner and I had a really lovely time away staying here. The room was beautifully clean, lovely location and the breakfast was amazing! I would highly recommend this place to anyone and would definitely consider coming back here in the future.

Breakfast was excellent, Room was warm, clean and in a good state of repair. Bed was comfortable.

The room was clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was also well kept and clean. The breakfast was brilliant, plenty to eat and very nice, definitely value for money.

The property is a bit difficult to locate if you're finding it in the dark, and the noise from the road is noticeable at night.

A very new room, nicely presented with all the equipment necessary for a short stay.

We booked last minute, and were satisfied, the negative was the proximity to a busy road which is fine if you want an early start.

Zoe was amazing, so welcoming and kind. Room was lovely size, underfloor heating, comfy bed and facilities were great.

There wasn't anything

This is a little gem! Zoe, the host is very friendly and accommodating. She makes the best continental breakfast-very fresh and delivered right to your private room at an agreed upon time. Room was large, comfortable, modern and included everything you need. The bathroom has a lovely shower and is modern. The ability to make tea/coffee anytime is so nice.

The only very minor negative for us was the location-it is a bit far from the town centre (about a 20-30 minute walk), but it is a pleasant walk. There is a pub/restaurant only 3-4 minutes away. I wouldn’t let the location stop you from staying here. We will return for sure!

The 'extra large double bed' was actually a standard 4' 6" width bed. Parking only available for one car although we each had a car coming from different directions. Not able to give us breakfast because we hadn't ordered in advance. Room very cold on arrival and no apparent heater in the room.

We needed to find a room at short notice to help an elderly relative return from hospital. The highlight for us of the accommodation was the incredibly comfortable bed and the amazing shower. The accommodation was also spotlessly clean. In the main the room had everything we needed.

My one gripe was the lack of a bedside table on my side of the bed. It just made things difficult for me and there is certainly space to have one so I don't understand why there wasn't one. I hope you are able to remedy this.
