The breakfast was not of the quality I would expect for such an expensive stay. Only the proprietor on site, but he left in the morning to shop for groceries and the hot water machine for tea ran out. Also, no decaf.

The location. Walkable to just about every part of Provincetown. Lovely enclosed front porch. Don was a friendly host.

It was a common bathroom but there were no hand towels or paper towels so quick trips to the potty meant stopping back in your room for a towel assuming you wanted to wash your hands. It also meant multiple guests weren't able to wipe down the common sink. The stack of bath mats in the bathroom were not marked as such so I wasn't sure when I took my first shower if there was a mat; just a little note would have been helpful. You are told upfront that there is no housekeeping in the guest rooms; I can certainly make my bed but nowhere to empty my little trash can. Also, some of the continental breakfast items were not replenished; I wanted plain oatmeal, for instance. The negatives could EASILY be remedied with a little attention to detail.

The location was excellent. The room was small (as all rooms in Prown are) but comfortable. The house itself is gorgeous and spacious with a fabulous art collection. Spent more time out of the room on the lovely porch & outside. We had a problem with the bed after the 1st night & the owner was so kind to switch our the bed!! It made a huge difference & the rest of our sleep was great! The breakfast selections were good too. Would definitely stay here again!
