"A very comfortable, friendly, relaxing time."

Booked to stay as I'd stayed last year. Viv and Brian are excellent hosts, friendly and chatty. The premises are well situated, a quiet location, an effortlessly short distance from the town centre, close to the bus stop with frequent buses, saving you trying to park in town or pay the expensive parking charges. A very comfortable night's sleep. You're not an anonymous guest in a big hotel. Will definitely book again when I'm in the area.

The end of my stay and time to go home.

"Would stay again"

Good location, quiet, friendly, spotlessly clean, good breakfast.

Would have preferred a bedside table on both sides of the bed (only on one side)to put a drink on etc

Viv is an exceptional host and made us very welcome. The room was so clean and had everything you could possibly need. It's a much better stay than a hotel chain. Highly recommended for anyone visit St.Albans.

Lovely, friendly host; parking on the premises; spotlessly clean; lovely linen; excellent full English breakfast and choice of time; nice en suite

Minor inconveniences were limited cupboard/drawer space, but sufficient for a short stay. Seating, other than on the bed, limited to one person.

"Great single room"

Lovely clean house. This place is so well cared for by a very friendly host. Very inviting. I was made to feel extremely welcome. Single bed very comfortable and single room was a decent size. Breakfast was delicious and lots of extra care given to the presentation. Good sized bathroom with a corner bath. I would recommend staying here. Lovely little touches in the bedroom and the bathroom.

It was a little further from town than I realised. If you have a car that's fine but needed to rely on taxis.

"Excellent accommodation"

My stay was very good. The house is in a beautiful setting. My room was very clean and comfortable and the host was very welcoming and helpful. As I'd travelled by there were I used buses which were reliable and easily accessible.
