"Great medieval B&B in a medieval town"

8.0

The house was a very nice old building what gave us a good feeling. The owner showed us the room and gave a map of the city. He explained things to visit. We slept very good and didn't have to use the AC. Breakfast was good, freshly prepared coffee for us, and we had some nice conversations with the owners and other guests. There are so many things to visit in the area, we have to return there again.

We haven't asked for the Wi-Fi. Maybe put a small note in the room so guests can login?

Like you visit your relatives in Italy and stay in their home ... very friendly hosts, comfy rooms and beds, good air conditioning and wi-fi. Nice breakfast prepared by Mamma, communicative hosts, very good location, close to the heart of the city. Easy and cheap parking nearby on the street. Definitely recommended by a family őf 5 (kids:16, 14, 11) on vacation with car (KIA Sportage 2022).

I cannot remember any downsides, for disabled persons a short notice, it is on the top of "palazzo" with a lot of stairs - anybody else absolutely worth the exercise to reach it.

"Atmospheric historic B&B in one of Italy's most beautiful cities"

9.0

Delightfully atmospheric apartment in a historic apartment block uphill from the old centre of Ascoli Piceno - a short work from the two main squares. Bedroom large, with a nice sense of being part of a family home (e.g., well-filled bookshelves). Comfortable armchair and a desk. A nice place to sleep. Friendly hosts.

Uphill location made it a bit of a strenuous uphill walk from the town centre when I arrived, laden with heavy luggage (without luggage, it's a very pleasant stroll). Breakfast was slightly limited (mostly cakes). Bedroom itself oddly lacks a lock and key - I didn't worry about this, since it's a family-run place, but it still felt a bit strange.
