Valley Farmhouse, Westhall

Amazing, very atmospheric place, like travelling back to Tudor times but with all modern comforts provided! Very spacious accommodation on two levels, with original features- exposed beams, fieplaces - unlike any other place we stayed in before; the host exceptionally tactful, unimposing and generous- lots of sweets, fruit and drinks provided upon arrival and the breakfast the next morning cooked to perfection. Good location, the place easy to find - and beautiful grounds with an old orchard to enjoy ...

Owners, area, quiet, lots of room, comfortable, clean.

Most of the items need updating, no smart TV to watch Netflix, amazon etc, even an amazon stick would be better than a few old videos and a few channels. Really old sofa in the living area, looks like it is from the 70's etc. Spend some money as it wasn't cheap. Cereal for the breakfast was stale also. Expect more for £140 a night.

The setting was great and the hosts were very accommodating. The accommodation was great, lovely and cool, which was great given the summer finally arrived and temperatures were in the mid to late 20s.

Not much. Just a few niggles with some of the saucepans but these were picked up by the hosts. One thing we forgot to point out is that the toilet door doesn't stay closed

friendly welcome made us feel comfortable. the rooms were beautiful, the breakfast was delicious and the location was extremely peaceful

The only negative thing was the TV did not work at all no channels were available, through normal TV or sky. The things provided for breakfast as in fresh milk, Orange Juice , eggs, Cereal, fruit and more was a very welcome treat.
