Sunrise Lodge & Lounge

The place give nice vibe, and commune area made from traditional and joglo wood, the swimming pool was nice especially the pressure of the water help for nice massage , the owner and the staff very lovely hulpful with local recommendations, I love Sunrise lodge and lounge I 100% recomand it. Thanks for the communal kitchen nice to be in community.

I stayed one night first and gave them a 9 but some things happened that really lowers my review. Due to some circumstances I had to stay an additional night.

I booked, paid and got a receipt of a shuttle transport from the hostel to Ubud. Booked at noon and the owner said she didn't know yet what time the bus would leave, depending on how many other people they would pick up. Fair enough, so I waited. Asked again two hours later, they still didn't know so I kept waiting. Asked several times during the afternoon/eve and by 8 pm they told me that transport and all other shuttle buses were fully booked! Got my money back but ended up paying lots for a private transportation instead - and I just stayed here an additional night so I could have the shuttle bus they never arranged for me 🙃 So... stay here for a cheap place to stay (overall friendly staff and good breakfast included) but do NOT let them order the transport for you!

Staff is super friendly and helpful. Good location to the beach. Stayed here to have close to the immigration office. Delicious breakfast with 🍌 🥞 and ☕. They also have a lunch/dinner meny. Had Gado-Gado for 30k, amazing peanut sauce. Decided to stay for another night because I couldn't find a good transportation option.

Maddress was really soft but okay. Quite a lot of ants. Not really a private room but works well for the price.

best wifi I've seen in Indonesia so far, compared to dozen of places I've stayed in Java and Bali, very spacious, onlyfans but the weather is cool enough.

mosquitos, net is provided but full of holes, my dorm is next to the road with kids on their loud motorcycle, with basically zero soundproof, it gets quiet from late of evening.
