Coolcormack Stud B&B

Coolcormack Stud is a working race horse stud and cattle farm about 10 minutes drive outside Dunvargan, in beautiful surroundings. And no one works harder than the host, John Joe, in making one feel welcome and at ease. Our room was extraordinary, with an en suite bathroom and changing room and sweeping views of the pastures and bucolic countryside. It is an easy and traffic-free drive into the center of Dunvargan - so a perfect place to stay to enjoy country and town. Our breakfast was one of the very best we have ever experienced, not just because of the quality of the food but for John Joe's personal touch. When we arrived at the house it was suffused with delectable smells of cooking granola, which John Joe presented with home-made farm bread and other delights at breakfast next morning. We left relaxed and happy, and would come back in a heartbeat!

We loved the beautifully appointed room, large and comfortable with wonderful views of the farmlands. Breakfast was a treat with all local produce. Our thanks to the proprietor John Joe for his hospitality.

Margot and John Joe were one of the sweetest people I have ever met. They helped me with travelling advice before my stay. They even drove me from Dungarvan center to their BnB. As I was travelling alone they offered me to take me to see the horse races in Tramore. Even though we had just met, they even drove me around the Copper Coast and took me out to dinner to a wonderful local village pub! Best hosts ever. It was a fantastic day, and I was able to learn about the Irish culture. The room was very peaceful - a perfect place to feel cozy and relax. Margot and Joe John make you feel at home. They are attentive to each detail. The whole house was cleaned perfectly - definitely the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen and I have traveled a lot. The bed matress was really really comfy and the shower was nice and big and I had a hot shower. The cows and horses add to the charm of the country house. And there is so much amazing countryside to visit around the BnB but also in the villages around. But it's also a very quick drive to Dungarvan town so you can do the Greenway bikeride or have fun in the pubs or party in the city too. I was travelling by bus and it was easy to get from Waterford to Dungarvan with the bus. I also took the bus to Cork. The breakfast was huge and the hosts offered to cook more and were attentive to all my needs, making sure I had everything I needed. Best place I stayed in Ireland by far! And probably the most relaxing house I have ever stayed in. Honestly best hospitality I have ever seen (and this is coming from a person who has traveled a lot and knows about hospitality). Margot and John Joe are the sweetest people. If you want to relax in the countryside and visit the south coast of Ireland Coolcormack Stud BnB is THE place to be.

Comfortable lovely setting

Die Gastgeber waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie haben uns tolle Tips für Ausflüge, Restaurants, ect gegeben. Das Frühstück war fantastisch. Besonders das selbstgemachte Müsli mit Joghurt und Apfelmus, die leckeren frischen Croissants mit selbstgemachter Marmelade und das Rührei von den Hofeigenen Hühnern. Schöne Zimmer. Ruhige Lage. Schade, dass wir nur eine Nacht da waren.

The owner was very friendly, perfect for an overnight. The facilties and breakfast were excellent.

Nothing really

John, unser Gastgeber, war äußerst hilfsbereit in einer sehr angenehmen Art. Wir haben die Adresse anfangs im Dunkeln nicht gefunden, da ist John uns spontan mit seinem Auto entgegen gefahren und hat uns da eingesammelt, wo wir gestrandet sind. Abschließend gab es von John dann noch ein Bier und Tee für meine Frau, da war es bereits weit nach 22 Uhr. Das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war dann einfach köstlich und total lecker - vielen Dank noch einmal für die tolle Zeit bei Dir.

Es gab keinen Grund zur Beanstandund.
