B&B da Baba

The breakfast was very good, fresh fruit daily, yogurts, delicious coffee, various pastries/cakes, healthy options - Alberto would oblige with anything he could assist with on the food front or anything else he could offer to help us. B & B Baba is a lovely house, exceptionally clean and comfortable.

It is better to stay in Ghizzano if you have your own transport, we didn't and found it difficult to get a taxi for short journeys and there are only a couple of very early morning buses and late afternoon buses,. So, although a lovely place and extremely friendly local people, I would advise making sure you have your own transport. There is one little shop for groceries, meats etc., which also has a little bar. There is a lovely village bakery too where you can also sit in for bakery goods and coffee/wine etc. There appeared to be one small eatery which didn't open until 8pm - we didn't get to go there as once we were out with our excellent private hire driver Filippo, we ate elsewhere, one being Andrea Bocelli's restaurant in Lajatico recommended by Filippo and it was lovely.

We were so pleased staying at B&B da Ba Ba. Upon arrival, our host Alberto was super kind. He helped us get our bags to the room and shared lots of information about the area with us. I wasn't feeling well so texted asking if there was anywhere that would deliver food or we could take away quickly and he responded quickly with help. He even went as far as making a reservation for us that was a 30 second walk from our stay. In the morning we woke up to the most beautiful and delicious breakfast that he served us with an assortment of juices, yogurts, fruits, muffins, cakes, and croissants. He went above and beyond to make our trip exceptional and we would 100% recommend anyone to stay here. The room was also exactly as pictured, very clean, with all the amenities you'd need. I've never stayed at a B&B before so was worried that it might be noisy being close to other guests, but it wasn't. It was the perfect stay! We will be back!

Nothing - everything was excellent.

Nice and clean and superb hosting

A wonderful home in a perfect spot to explore Tuscany. The small village of Ghizzano is quiet and peaceful with hidden artwork and an award winning winery. We booked for one and after 3 nights we still did not want to leave. The host and beautiful woman who served breakfast were so friendly and helpful. We felt like family. Each morning freshly baked delights awaited us along with fresh fruit, yogurt and a selection of cheese and meats. Breakfast was generous. I cannot fault this little gem.

The stairs, about 20, to the rooms might be a problem for some. Not a problem for us and we are not youngsters.😊

Really nice rooms and clean, nice bathroom idea. The small village is also clean and nice. The host is very friendly and open to give you lot of suggestions about what to visit.

The bathroom had no ventilation therefore it was really hot in the middle of a summer day. 🙂

Alberto was an excellent host. Very friendly and helped us a lot. He gave us very good advices where to park the car, how to get better to some places, recommended restaurants close by and so on. The appartment was very clean, nice and had everything we needed. In the village and neighboring villages were surprisingly interessting artprojects, we did not expect. The location is in the middle of tuscany, from where we could get easy to Florence, Pisa, Sienna and the beach. We had a very good time and wish Alberto and his family all the best. They do a great job.

This hotel has a total of 3 rooms and is located in a small Italian village in the country. Plenty of local history. It is scenic, relaxing and quiet. The host/owner is very knowledgeable about the area and checked in with us multiple times to ask how our stay was going.

For those who desire local amenities, this village does not have them. There is one restaurant that is not open every day and one bakery.

This place is little gem! I can’t even recommend it enough. Very clean, beautifully decorated and the host was outstanding. The young man was so helpful and friendly that we didn’t want to leave. Thank you so very much for everything.
