A lovely property in a beautiful area. The room was really comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Friendly and accommodating staff. Would love to go back and stay for longer.

Just a minor issue!The kettle and tea and coffee tray had been positioned on top of the chest of drawers but there was no socket to plug in the kettle close by.We had to put the kettle on the window ledge when we needed to plug it in!Maybe better to move the whole tray onto the window ledge as the socket is directly below the window sill

A beautiful spacious room, very tastefully decorated and clean. The breakfast was very good and made with quality produce. The staff were all lovely.

My main issue was with the bed. The pub is very old and consequently has uneven floors. However these were particularly noticeable in the bed area. It leaned alarmingly to one side and also leaned downwards towards the headboard. I found it difficult to sleep. Whilst the hot food was tasty it would have been nice to have more choices of cereals/fruit etc (only 2 cereals and sliced banana were offered) . We stayed 2 nights and our room was not serviced properly, toiletries and hospitality tray and (most importantly toilet paper) were not restocked. We ended up using tissues as we didn’t realise and did not want to get dressed to go and ask for some. The towels were very wet and although left on the floor (as is usual for requesting clean towels) were not replaced and just draped over the rail to dry (they didn’t !). We ate both nights in the pub (as we thoroughly enjoyed the meal on night one.). However on night 2 the quality and quantity deteriorated which was a shame as we ordered the same food as the night before as we thought it was lovely. My wife found a one inch shard of sharp plastic in her desert that she managed to spit out but it could have been a nasty injury or choking. They waiter did apologise and we found the next morning we had not been charged for the desert. It would have been nice the next morning to have been offered an explanation and apology.
