Terrazze Caracciolo

We really like the room and bathroom, nice and comfortable.

the cigarette smell was disgusting. Also elevator too small and the last floor we walk by stairs.

the location is absolutely perfect. in the city center and very close to the railway station for easy travelling. great breakfast and hosts too.

The owner is very friendly, location is very good – close to the beach, Promenade, shops, restaurants etc.

It was perfect. Staying in Terrazze Caracciolo was the icing on the cake during the whole stay in Pescara.

Part 1. Booking informed that the city tax is 1€ per person- he told us to pay 3€ per person- did not get a receipt or anything! Take it into consideration guests. :) So, I was nice and positive from the begininng, the owner also, but when I reported first problems to him; he started being rude.. At the same time I also informed Booking about the issues (i sent photos of the fungus in the bathroom, scale all over the shower, stains on the walls in the room and in the bathroom, cigarettes left on the terrace - the owner smoke everywhere while we were there, we felt it immediately because we don’t smoke- the smell was in the room, in the kitchen.., ruined curtains). They could not do anything, the owner was angry that I had the problem. But on booking this room looked very nice, in reality I was so disappointed because of this negligence. The owner firstly said that that he changed his maid and its because of her (fungus or scale or stains on walls is not about 1 cleaning, is a long term process). But I proposed to leave earlier because I was mad and did not feel comfortable there, and wanted to receive the city tax back, but then he started being nasty. He gave us half of the breakfast after that, on purpose ofc, and some minutes later he kicked us off from the room.. he said that booking will give us our money back for the rest of the nights (liar :) ). Ok, We left because I could not stay in such a mess anymore.

Part 2. But then, crazy situation. Booking told me that the owner said its all our fault, that we smoke and made the room dirty, (what the hell?? I did the photos of the dirt, I reported them, because I was unhappy with it and its my fault?? Not logic at all..). He wanted 350€ for these 2 nights and later additional 140€ for the DAMAGES THAT OTHER GUESTS DID IN THAT ROOM. he wanted to trick us and get all the money for the whole stay (i paid 450€ for the 7 nights + city tax 42€ which I did not receive back). Booking said they cannot verify anything (even though I reported the issues with the room and I took the photos, so I think they simply did not want to loose his client but anyway- polish booking was on my side, but They could not fight with the italian booking). So He probably wanted to renew the rooms for our money :) Worst experience ever, worst host ever. There were no other guests, he even invited a girl to this place and they acted like they were alone.. being loud after 11 pm.. this not a place for guests, its for people who like being watched by the owner. he treats people without a respect. Next day after throwing us away, he made a big party for his friends, so I assume it was simply not convenient for him to have guests in October.. DONT RECOMMEND!!!!. He ruined our holidays, karma will be back, wait for it:)

Terrazze Caracciolo is very well located in the center of the town, at few minutes walking distance from the train station and the waterfront. The Host is very kind and attentive to guests' needs. Guests can enjoy a very nice city view from the terrace and the rooms are clean, comfortable and duly furnished. Certainly recommended!
