Sunsets and Palm Trees

Great setting so peaceful, Rooms beautifully decorated, the food was great and the hospitality of the staff and owner was amazing.

On arrival the manager Aslam offered a complimentary beer. Villa 1 was great, excellent bathroom, water was always hot. Loved sitting in the jacuzzi overlooking the river. The staff were flexible about breakfast and dinner cooked by the owners wife was excellent. The property is right on the river between the government boat stops. The boats to Alleppey are great and cost pennies. Champakulam is a short walk away for shops including a good supermarket. The property is great for birdwatching, we were treated to the sight of 6 parrots yards away reacting with each other. In short the property is in a great location, right on the river. The staff are great.

I would say be careful when leaving the jacuzzi, the floor when wet is slippery and I had quite a bad fall.

The view is stunning! Very good location to explore the backwaters. Peaceful and quiet stay, excellent to get some rest. Aslam and David were very kind and the communication with them was really good. David helped with planning our trip and gave us good recommendations! I would definitely recommend this place. The food was also really good and the breakfast was delicious and a lot!

Some extras are a bit expensive (kayak, laundry) and not included, especially when you already pay a quite amount of money for this hotel.

The accommodation is spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The location is quiet and directly on the river. You can also walk to some rice fields nearby. Food is good. The host David knows a lot about India and is happy to share his experiences. He is really helpful and arranged everything we needed.

A perfect place to relax and soak up the backwaters for a few days or more - from the small private pool or room verandah. Easy to walk around the rice fields and villages too. Very stylish and clean and right on the water. Food was fresh and delicious. Staff very helpful.

The property is absolutely stunning. Charming, secluded and serene. A perfect getaway from the city and a busy life. The staff and food was great too. Aslam was extremely helpful , and the owners David and Mahima too. The food is incredible as well. Had the comfort of home food.

Would be great if there were some snacks as well through the day.

Everything was just perfect in this little gem hidden away from the buzzing crowds of Alleppey. What truly sets Sunsets and Palmtrees away is the very tasteful design of the rooms. Special mention also to the wonderful host, David, who went out of his way to accommodate our needs and make this an unforgettable souvenir for our little family.
