The Cavalier House B&B

Martina is a wonderful host, who makes an exceptionally good full english (she even has HP suace). She's kind and will go out of her way to offer information on where to find the best of everything in Hastings.

Good breakfast in nice dining area. Owner was very helpful. Central area of old town with all the amenities nearby.

Shower set up could be better, but adequate for our stay.

We liked the whole experience. Separate access straight to your room so there's no worries about disturbing anyone if you choose to stay out late. Located perfectly to everything. All in easy walking distance. The train station. Old and New Town. Amusements, fair ground and adventure golf. Museum's and historical sites as well. You couldn't be better placed. Hostess was amazing, polite, caring and very helpful with information for local things to do. Breakfast was amazing and plenty of food and drink. Bath was to die for so deep and spacious. Bed was the most comfortable we have ever had the joy of sleeping in (even asked where we could get a mattress the same) No TV... now I've read the reviews and honestly having no TV for us was a blessing we took some playing cards and games and for the very small amount of time we spent in the room we just played and enjoyed each others company instead of sitting glued to a screen. It was absolute bliss and can not wait to return. Which now we have found this lovely place we will be using it everytime we visit Hastings.

A shower would have been nice but I can see how it wouldn't fit.

Feel a bit guilty...as the host was so nice and served up a lovely, friendly breakfast in her kitchen, upstairs but, although in a good locatiion, it is definately overpriced. For this cost the room and bathroom could do with a remodel and the decor a general refresh. Don't want to be mean...but we honestly didn't think it was good value for money for a B&B

Excellent location, located in the old town. Martina accommodated our early arrival and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Our room was a generous size and spotless with ample toiletries and pleasant decor. Breakfast was served at our chosen time and the variety was excellent when we had cooked or continental. We were given suggestions of where to eat, which was a bonus. We would certainly return to enjoy Martina's generous hospitality.

Martine was a fantastic informative host with delicious cooked breakfasts. Location was great. Accommodation was lovely and clean and tidy with a comfy bed. It was nice to have our own separate entrance. Our stay here really made our weekend brilliant. Thanks.

Is in a lively location at weekends but we were pre warned about this so took ear plugs so was fine.
