Glass Magnolia Bed & Breakfast

The hosts were very nice, the breakfast was excellent and the accommodation had a lot of vintage character. The property was well-priced as an option for accommodation and the hosts are clearly expert at running the property and are very welcoming and friendly.

Wally and Nancy are both very welcoing. Wally is an amazing chef. The breakfast was consistently delicious. Nancy's home-made breads were equally good. Our room (balcony room) was in the second house and was perfect for us, we loved having our own balcony. We also had the use of the kitchen, dining and lounge downstairs,which was a good place to catch up with other guests, cook a meal, or just relax. There is off street parking, and the village felt very safe.

Feels like being at home.

A wonderfully charming bed and breakfast. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful with great tips of things to do and restaurants to visit in the area. The breakfast is amazing. There was access to tea / coffee and some small snacks at all times and a fridge for storing food. We were very happy and would definitely visit again.

The only thing that we rate slightly negatively is that the bed was extremely soft and therefor not super comfortable with two people sleeping in it.

We stayed for one night at Glass Magnolia and had a wonderful time. The breakfast made by Wally was absolutely delicious — though definitely a bit much for a European appetite! Wally and Nancy love to chat and show genuine interest in their guests, which made us feel very welcome. Their dog Gus is the sweetest and adds to the cozy, homely atmosphere. The building itself is very old and full of character; you can really feel its history as you walk through it. Also, just down the street, there’s a fantastic pizzeria called Giovanni’s — definitely worth a visit! We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
