Nadarra Hideaway

Location and views were excellent. We enjoyed the sunshine on the hill and listening to the birdsong in the monring. The little gas fireplace was great and efficient. The perfect cabin for us two to rest and recouperate after a few hours of rafting. We appreciated the booklet of information.

We found the wall attachements that kept the outdoor umbrella quite squeaky/noisy at times but this was a minor issue and most likely unavoidable

Sorry the heating was not very good or safe. Heating ran out at midnight the first night and we had to wait till it cooled down, to fill it up again and relight. I know we were not supposed to keep it on overnight but it was too cold to do that. Suggest a gas heater run from a refillable gas bottle would have been safer and warmer.

Lovely family The daughter will tell you all about the animals living there. Any questions you might have, they're there to answer them. The rooms are real nice and comfortable. There's a little walk up the hill for an even better view of the sunrise or sunset.

Beautiful views, great spot for stargazing, close to Waitomo Caves, friendly hosts, good continental breakfast.

The bed was a bit too firm for me. The cabin has an ethanol fireplace that heats it well, but for your safety you need to turn it off overnight. So, if you're visiting in winter, be prepared for a very cold night.

We wanted to experience a farm stay during our trip and nadarra gave us just that. We had chicken, sheep, cow and a rolling landscape all in one stay, and including 2 lovely children.

The friendliness and flexibility of the host family. Even though we had a room in their family home, the space we could use was private, clean, comfortable and spacious. They are lovely people.

Lovely, private, cosy cabin with great heating and outlook. Excellent attentive host. Generous continental breakfast.

The cabin is small, so no room for a table to sit at.
