Spacious apartment. Great breakfast. Personable staff.

Penny and the girls that served us breakfast. They were very kind and helpful.

Totally overrated. They made us pay for two rooms, 6 beds, eventhough we only needed 4 beds. (And one of the rooms had 4 beds) One of the bedrooms had no sunlight at all and it smelled very humid. The garden had litter in the floor, plastic bags. Lots of stairs to reach our room made it difficult with the luggage. It's definitely not a "boutique" hotel.

We stayed at the family apartment "Charlottenthal". This apartment is detached from the hotel but on the same property. We loved the historic ambiance including the old staircase in the hallway of the building and the old wooden floors, historical pictures and local photography art on the walls in the apartment. Reliable Wi-Fi and DSTV was also appreciated. Good location, walking distance to restaurants, all with nice fresh oysters, and Spar supermarket.

The entrance to the house was not very appealing, but I guess, this is work in progress as two out of the four apartments are still being renovated. Fans in the bedrooms would be nice for increased sleeping comfort (at least in summertime). Single mattresses in both bedrooms, so mind the gap ;).

The Room Bucht Blick is very big, beautiful furniture and a great view

Lack of attention to detail . The Room Bucht Blick is not suitable to people who are either not so fit and don't want to carry their luggage up - at least 60 stairs from parking . There are also ( partially ) no balustrades. The cement floor at lower section is very irregular . Unfortunately I slipped when the wind was very strong . The injuries to my foot had a major impact to the rest of my travel . i did not find the staff very sympathetic or helpful .

Loved the converted rooftop apartment. Fantastic view. So comfortable. We didn’t want to go anywhere.
