B&B del Mugello

This is a very beautiful villa in a beautiful part of Italy. The family running it were very helpful and kind. I had walked 28km of the Via degli Dei that day and they helped me when my phone adaptor wasn't working. The bathroom and bedroom were excellent, and the food I had was great too.

The host made us a good pizza (€14), which was very welcome at the end of a long day of walking and with no restaurants nearby. Nice location and views. The host was communicative.

The room wasn't the one that we'd booked - the bed was made from two single beds at slightly different heights pushed together. It was uncomfortable and with was no mattress protector under the sheet. It was very hot in the room, so a fan would have been helpful. The bathroom was old (unlike the picture) and situated outside the bedroom, which was unexpected. There was a lot of noise in the evening from the host's family beneath our bedroom window, and the walls between bedrooms appeared to be paper thin. There seemed to be only one hairdryer in the property, which had to be requested and collected. We wanted to enjoy the pizza at the table outside, but the host wouldn't allow it. Our passports were held hostage until we checked out the following morning, which seemed unnecessary.
