The place has terrific views and the distance from Kodai town ensures calm and peace. The nearby stream adds a meditative touch, thus validating its place in the title. Caretaker Balaji fed us some delicious home-cooked meals in the cozy lounge.

The floors get cold so try to carry indoor footwear while visiting in colder months.

Loved the stay, food, ambience and the super hospitable staff as well as hosts. Perfect getaway place for a peaceful and serene vacation!

Only the common area is little bit better

"This is not the advisable place to stay when you are travelling with your family. The location is quite far from the main Kodaikanal town and somewhat secluded from the main road. Initially, we booked a Double Room with a Private External Bathroom. The room is situated on the ground floor and is separate from the main cabin. The bathroom is located next to the room and is open to the sky. The gallery is in a horrible condition and is not well-maintained. There is no safety during the night, especially on rainy days. Upon arrival, we requested the owner, Nikita, to provide some sort of hospitality and offer an upgrade to our room. However, she informed us directly that they couldn't provide any type of upgrade and suggested that we cancel our reservation and rebook two rooms instead. She mentioned that she could offer another better room at the same cost, but the actual room tariff was the same as the one we had initially booked. The owner appeared rather unaccommodating and not hospitable at all. Nevertheless, we managed to stay in a room inside the main house. The room size was excessively small, and the extra mattress provided was dirty. The pillow and bedsheet offered appeared to have been used by the room attendant. The two individuals working there also seemed unprofessional and appeared to have been hired from a nearby village. Their uniforms were very dirty and entirely unhygienic. Regarding food, they had a very limited selection for dinner and breakfast. They didn't prepare food on-site; instead, it was brought in from the owner's house. There was no variety in the breakfast options provided; it felt like we could only eat what they were offering. I must say this was the most pathetic stay I have ever experienced. It brings to mind the famous quote: 'Don't get involved in other people's mess.'

Spent one of the most peaceful mornings I have had in a very long time, in my cozy balcony at Bohemian Hideaway Homestay, with great quality, artwork, hospitality, food, and views! The hosts were always available nuand also really sweet and very very courteous. The rest of the staff is also very friendly. Calm place to stay in the middle of nature. I definitely recommend if you want to stay away from city

As soon as I entered the private property lane leading to the property I was awestruck by the beautiful flaura and views that one could admire and take a walk through all day! Then driving to the end of the road, i spotted the cutest homestay I have ever stayed at which had all the privacy i could have asked for. The only sounds I could hear were the sounds of nature all throughout. And i remember telling myself that this is exactly what i came for. The host helped us out with some amazing recommendations for lunch as we were heading sightseeing. For dinner we ate some dal tadka, kadhai paneer and jeera rice at the property made by the cook there which was super yummy and fresh as well! Arun and Nikita are also one of the best hosts we have come across and made us feel extremely comfortable. Towards the end, im sure we could call ourselves their friends! Thank you for having us and we will definitely come back soon again!
