Excellent all around the minute we arrived. Geraldine was so helpful we used the wellness room which has an excellent hot tub and sauna showers and toilets spotless there and loads of relaxing chairs. Breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from.

Fantástico Una carretera estrecha con un precioso paisaje te lleva a esta bonita casa. Muy amables. A 20 minutos del castillo de johnstown. Un desayuno muy completo.

Warm friendly welcome. We arrived after a challenging journey from Rosslare ferry terminal, pouring rain with hailstones and a very gusty wind, and pitch black! No street lights, no street names! Our satnav took us in circles but a quick call to Geraldine with good clear instructions for us got us there, albeit a couple of hours later than anticipated. Very comfortable room and superb breakfast! We had a full Irish with fresh fruit salad, a selection of pastries and preserves and a fantastic selection of herbal teas in particular which was great for me.

I chose this property specifically because the listing stated that spa access was included. The place itself was spacious and clean, but unfortunately, our experience with the hosts was extremely unpleasant. When we asked to use the spa, we were told we had to pay an additional €50 in cash, which directly contradicts the information on the booking listing. When I politely raised this issue, the hosts became defensive and told us “my house, my rules” and that we could leave if we didn’t like it. On checkout day, heavy rain started just as we were leaving. I asked if we could wait inside for 10 minutes until it cleared, but the host insisted we leave immediately and escorted us out in the rain. I also witnessed another guest being treated poorly after having no hot water at night; the host’s response the next morning was again dismissive and confrontational. While the property itself is nice, the unprofessional and hostile attitude of the hosts ruined the experience. I cannot recommend this place and would advise future guests to carefully review the listing details before booking.
