Switsongo B&B

Our host met us when we arrived, with a friendly handshake. Helped us with our luggage. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything one needed. The courtyard was so amazing - the garden was so beautiful. Sat outside in the evening watching stars and reading. Our host, Koen packed us an amazing breakfast as we wanted to leave early. He went above and beyond. What a lovely surprise, as we were about to leave Koen came running out to say goodbye despite it being so early.

De B&B is mooi ingericht en heeft een gezellige uitstraling. De ligging in een wildpark is een unieke troef. Wij maakten er een wandeling en konden heel dicht bij giraffen, zwijntjes, hoentjes en hertjes komen. Het ontbijt was heerlijk. Het was echt fijn om door de gastheer Koen ontvangen te worden. Het voelde persoonlijk aan, in tegenstelling tot veel andere b&b´s in Zuid-Afrika waar je enkel personeel treft.

Het zwembad is echt klein. De verlichting in de kamer was nogal donker en we misten een kast om iets in te leggen. Er is geen ruimte om je koffer uit te pakken.

We loved our stay at Switsongo B&B, great property, clean, well taken care of. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast. The owner Koen runs a lovely B&B. Just book it if you are in Hoedspruit.

My door didn’t lock, but it’s so few guests and the main entrance locked I felt very safe

Superb breakfast, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, hot breakfast as well. Coffee machine makes specialty coffees too! Love that. Owners and staff are very welcoming and caring. My second stay here and I hope to return. Air con in rooms, good wifi, everything works, and is well kept. Animals such as mongoose, duiker, and warthog family walked by my room too. Roof top patio for a great view especially for sunsets.

I was very pleased to reach Switsongo after a long day driving through the Kruger. It was one of the nicest places I have stayed during holidays I have spent in SA. The hosts are very welcoming and put lots of effort into ensuring you have everything you need for your stay. I enjoyed the breakfasts made for me each morning by their friendly staff.

Upon landing at Hoedspruit East Gate Airport, I immediately saw my landlord welcoming me with a name tag and warmly introducing me to everything about Hoedspruit. Although the small courtyard where the accommodation is located is not large, it is very spacious and comfortable, and incorporates many local characteristics. Even if you don't sit in the courtyard all day, it is still very comfortable. The landlord is very friendly and kind, and has helped me a lot. I am very grateful. For example, I often forget to hang clothes outside, but the landlord always helps me retrieve them. There are also many places where I need help, and they are always enthusiastic about helping me.
