"Traditional Irish B&B with first class hospitality"

Marguerite and Joe were superb hosts. So friendly and welcoming and with lots of suggestions of things to do near to Skibbereen. The room was spotless and comfortable, with adequate plug sockets, a kettle and some snacks. Breakfast was brilliant - Marguerite’s homemade bread, along with the fried breakfast (including black and white puddings) were particular highlights. Will actively try to stay at Marguerite’s next time we are in West Cork.

"A perfect stay."

From the moment that I arrived, the host was attentive, immediately showing me my room, and then made me a coffee and provided biscuits and left me to enjoy them and settle in. My ensuite bedroom was clean and tidy and had a lovely view out onto the beautifully manicured back garden, and the shower was lovely and hot and powerful. My host provided the option of storing my bicycle safely in a secure garage and which I accepted. I was also given information about places where I could go locally for my supper, and I took one of these, and I wasn't disappointed. My breakfast the next morning was a fabulous full Irish with scrambled eggs, cereal, toast, lots of freshly brewed coffee, and orange juice. My breakfast was without fault. My host got the balance between respecting my privacy and being attentive just right, and I would have no hesitation in returning here again.

There is nothing to criticise.

We were very warmly welcomed by Marguerite and felt right at home. The B&B is easy to find, has beautiful garden views and breakfast was amazing! If you have the time, try to go kayaking on Lough Hyne, it is just a few minutes down the road.
