Lovely house in a great spot

Everywhere was very clean and the breakfast was nice. The area is very pretty. The provision of tea was adequate, and milk was provided separately.

I don't expect to be asked to take my shoes off on entering when I'm paying over £100 for a night in a room with no lock on the door, other than a bolt on the inside. The bed was uncomfortable. The shower over the bath had to be held as there was no fitting for it on the wall and I personally dislike shower curtains. I felt very much as if I was staying in someone's house, rather than it feeling like a business, which I am sure suits many people, but made me feel quite awkward.

The location was fine and easy to find, the host was very friendly and extremely helpful, and breakfast was fist class.

Location was isolated but lovely with nice gardens. Staff i.e. Sandy were friendly and accomodating with good local knowledge having lived there for a consideable period. Were able to provide garage faciliies and power for my electric bike.

The private bathroom was rather luxurious and well supplied however I found the bath a little short in length

Everything. Beautifully presented. Gorgeous bathroom. Bed was very comfortable and host had lovely little extras in there which were very thoughtful. Sandy and John were very welcoming and answered any questions we had. Would stay there again.

Simply the best. Super host, glorious accommodation. Everything you need including delicious breakfast. Highly recommend.

It was a lovely farmhouse. The room was spacious and the bathroom is huge with shower and bath. The location is excellent - near to the village and to main roads. Just over the border into Scotland and close to Hermitage castle. The breakfast is brilliant - you can choose what you have to eat each day. Try the porridge - it’s amazing. The host is lovely - very knowledgeable about the area too.
