Tiger Inn - Grace

Wonderful, picturesque village location, perfect for a stop off on the South Downs Way, lovely characterful room ['Grace'], separate from the pub, most excellent breakfast, good evening meal too. Very warm and friendly staff. The pub got very busy at 5 - 7 though with locals and walkers popping in for a pint.

A bit more variation on the menu and/or an extended specials board?

The staff were superb and luckily alternative accommodation was available. They couldn't have been kinder - but the management shouldn't have left them in that position.

The photos of Grace on the website are totally misleading - the room has one small window in the actual door and otherwise is dark and damp (there was a blue plastic damp trap on a shelf). Deeply depressing and totally outrageous for £180! I thought I was treating myself following a bereavement and thankfully one of the cottages was available. Stressful and eye-wateringly expensive night.

From arrival to departure, the staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was beautiful and comfortable, with all the extras (toiletries, multiple towels, drinks and snacks) and the breakfast was superb (continental and freshly cooked). I had dinner in the Inn and it was excellent (both the food and the service). The location is wonderful: right on the village green in a surprisingly vibrant little village, with excellent bus links to Seaford and Eastbourne, and walking distance to the coast at Birling Gap and a pleasant walk in either direction to Beachy Head or the Seven Sisters. I would definitely visit again.

Great location for hiking, cycling etc around Beachy Head. Beautiful rooms, incredible breakfast and great staff. Would definitely stay again!

A great selection of continental and cooked items for breakfast and able to accommodate my current medical dietary requests. The staff were very friendly and helpful with all question regarding breakfast and the local area.
