Whaka Heights

Very clean and great facilities available if needed. Breakfast was lovely and fresh. Room was a good size and parking on site was easy. Good quiet location. Lovely owner.

The bed was a little bit too soft and 'bouncy' than what we are used to, so we woke up a number of times during the night whenever either one of us moved around in the bed which was a little bit unsettling. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

Jill was amazing and great help to settle in and get my bearing for local transport to the town centre and the cricket venue. Bed was really comfy and I had full use of the whole downstairs. Quiet location which suited me and bus service was excellent and easy to work out where you wanted to go

Although not a real problem as I enjoy walking but if you don't have a car it is quite a steep walk from the main road but passing some lovely houses meant it didn't cause me any issues

The area available includes two rooms on the ground floor plus a private bathroom, as well as a space to sit in the garden. The place is very beautiful and green, with a nice view, and the owners are kind and helpful. The room is very comfortable, and the bathroom is nice and clean. There is a small kitchenette in the hallway and a fridge available in the living room.

Maybe the kitchenette is a bit too far from the dining room.

Great continental breakfast provided fresh each day as per my daily order. great city views from the garden. Nice quiet location with SKY TV access when I wanted to relax and watch some sport!

It would be nice to have a small table/chair in the bedroom - possibly in place of the sofa bed?

Breakfast was generous and exactly what I wanted. A peaceful, quiet location conveniently located to the event I was attending. Jill was a friendly and thoughtful host who is clearly offering visitors to Christchurch a comfortable and enjoyable experience because she likes meeting people and sharing her lovely home. The new stadium currently under construction is less than 6k from Whaka Heights. Catch a peek from the garden.
