Whaka Heights

Lovely easy to get to place. The room was warm and comfortable. The bathroom was perfect too and everything was lovely and clean. The host was lovely and friendly.

Handy 5 min walk to Centaurus Rd shops and Brickworks Bar/Restaurant. Welcoming homely feel but with privacy.

Everything...quiet, convenient and comfortable. Great breakfast.

For what I was doing the location was good as it was around the corner from where I needed to be. I didn't have a car and the accommodation was across the city from the airport so I got a shuttle. I don't think it was central to the city but there were a couple of restaurants within walking distance and I had access to a kitchenette which I hadn't expected. Over all was just what I needed. The breakfast was a bonus and the owner did her best to accommodate my dietary requirements, which was really kind of her. There was also an offer of a bicycle so getting about would have been ok.

I was a bit nervous of the dog. It had free rein in the house so could come down to the part I was staying in and to the front door. It wasn't nasty or vicious, in fact it looked playful and friend but I'm cautious of dogs especially when the owners are out. Had I returned when the owner was away, I wouldn't have felt safe opening the door with it there. I understand this is a personal issue but I wish I'd known there was a dog in residence before I booked. It's not to say I wouldn't have stayed but I would have made my caution known to the owner.
