La Moor Country Venue & Eatery

My stay was wonderful. I arrived late on Friday after 2100 hrs. I was touched to find that my thoughtful and kind hosts Cathy and Iggy had kept some food aside for me (as their kitchen was by that time closed) in case I was hungry , which I was! They had even ensure that I had 2 options to choose from. They invited me to join them by the fire in the bar/lounge area and I ate my dinner whilst we chatted and got to know each other. They gave me recommendations on where I could go and play golf and where I could find a good restaurant for Sunday lunch with my family (both excellent recommendations, by the way!) My room was warm and cosy thanks to the fan heater they provided for me without my even asking. I was only able to explore the grounds on Sunday morning. What a beautiful, tranquil place. I wish I had had more time to spend the day there enjoying the view and the river/stream that goes through the property. Sunday evening Iggy and I sat around the fire and enjoyed a movie on Netflix, it felt like home! Thank you Cathy and Iggy and your staff for making my stay memorable. I will be back when its not so cold so I can truly experience the place and this time I will bring some friends along!

My shower used a gas geyser which did not work effectively for m. As a consequence the water was never at any point warm enough for me. I come from Botswana and cant tolerate the cold.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the lake and view were the best part of the place and wished I stayed longer to enjoy their food.

It’s easy to miss the board entering the premises, it would be great to see clear boards until the gate of the accommodation
