Siril Guesthouse Hostel

Location is great, just a small walk into town. The host was really helpful with arranging tuktuk and was friendly. It was spacious room, had a huge bed and did the job for a 1 night stay.

Breakfast not included, could pay at the property but seemed expensive for what it was. No hot water, the only window was onto the communal garden so it wasn’t private. Only a few of the plugs worked and we got a small electric shock from one of them. The interior was dated but that seems the general style of the area.

Our stay at this guesthouse was as expected. The bunk room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and gave us some good suggestions for the area. It was great to have kitchen facilities so we could cook our own meals for a change.

Large room, friendly staff who were happy to help, free tea was a bonus! Quiet place away from the noise of main area, hot water, hairdryer was a bonus

The dogs were very noisy at night,

the staff were lovely especially guyan and there was free tea and coffee always and use of the kitchen was super helpful! the beds in the dorm were in pods so you had your own space and was very comfy, thank you for a great stay

We stayed in a private room, I really liked how big the room was and super clean, also it was great to have a hot shower. It was a lovely short walk to town. I would recommend.

The guesthouse was great and staff were lovely! Beds were some of the comfiest we have experienced on our travels :) We stayed in a private room and it had everything that was needed. The location is great if you don’t want to be directly in the centre (approx. 20 mins uphill walk from centre), but it was what we wanted to get a little calm and quiet and there was a great restaurant right next to the hostel.

Not a downside for us, but this hostel is on the calmer and quieter side so not a party atmosphere - although they do have a common area if travellers did want to mingle!

The location was great, out of the busy central area, but easily walkable even during the night. The bunk bed was really comfortable and the thick duvet was great during the cold nights. The bathroom was clean and had hot water. There are lockers in the room. Complementary tea and coffee are always available. You can do your laundry (the staff helps in the use of the washing machine and they provide the detergent too). No dryer, but everything dried for the next evening despite the cold. WiFi is great in the lobby but not particularly strong in the room.

The only minor thing I didn’t like was the occasional cigarette smell coming in the room.
