Wonderful experience at Manuel's gorgeous villa, nestled in a little town on Lago Maggiore. Walkable to restaurants and lake. We arrived JUST as the pope was being announced - was so cool to catch this with Manuel in his lovely living room space. We enjoyed the continental breakfast and getting to chat with the other guest staying that night. The gardens and grounds were so pretty, even though it was raining while we were there. Loved the original turn of the century design features in each room.

The location, the type of house full of character and the pristine garden.

My mother and I absolutely loved it here. Manuel is such a lovely and friendly host, always willing to help. We always enjoyed his company. il Motto di Tommy is such a lovely property with stunning gardens. The room/balcony/view to the lake made such an impression on us that we were already talking about returning on arrival! Thank you Manuel, this was such a big highlight on our 3,000 mile road trip.

Beautiful site and friendly manager

The "private bathroom" was down a flight of stairs ,too far away for an older person during the night. Parking advertised as " on premises" but was actually 5 minutes walk away up the street.

This place is amazing with good view on the hill over the lake, very clean, all things equipped as needed. The bed is so comfortable to sleep on. Manuel is caring and warm-hearted, make this experience even better:) will strongly recommend!

The owner (Manuel) clearly puts a lot of time and effort into this B&B, it shows, it's very clean and well cared for, it's delightful, with lovely gardens. Manuel was extremely helpful and goes the extra mile for his guests. I wasn't expecting such a lovely stay but Manuel really makes sure his guests are well cared for.

The parking was difficult for me as it's in a parking off site and unfortunately it's a very difficult road to reverse back up in order to get to the parking..

It is a stunning location and a very well kept place, but unfortunately exposed to traffic noise.

I don’t recommend to a solo traveller. The bathroom in the images is not en-suite. It is for private use, but located one floor below behind the kitchen where the breakfast is prepared. Therefore not only cumbersome but also exposed. Ununderstandably, the single room occupant’s breakfast was set alone inside, while the others got to eat outside on the terrace.

Beautiful house and garden with comfortable rooms that are perfectly clean and well equipped. Manuel is a very nice host who takes good care of his guests. We spent only one night on our way to Umbria and had a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend.

Breakfast is ok but nothing special.
