Maureen has a phenomenal set up. The bed was so comfortable, the carpet was so soft and the towel was like wearing a cloud. Shower was great. Her house is technically walking distance to Urquhart castle (I drove there and the car park was shut so they told me to park in town, it is probably about a 30m pleasant walk). I really enjoyed chatting with Maureen in the evening she is a great story teller. The little amenities in the room are top notch not least the thoughtful multideck plug socket at the bedside table and the shortbread! The breakfast in the morning was utterly delicious to the point that I ate more than I thought I would. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It amplified my experience of loch Ness.

Maureen was an absolutely wonderful host — it was like being welcomed into my Mam or Nan’s home. We were treated to an amazing full breakfast, a super big and comfortable bed, and lots of lovely chats. We also adored little Cleo (the cat)!

Maureen made us feel at home as soon as we arrived, we felt very welcome and well cared and catered for! Location is also good as it's in a quiet residential area. The breakfast was plentiful, baked rather than fried (which was a very welcome change), and included little homemade gems.

To make things even more perfect, I would add a kettle to the room. Maureen provided us with water and tea when we needed it, though, so that it wasn't a problem at all.

Hostess was excellent and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasurable.Breakfast Very Good and we even got Sandwiches for our Onward Journey.

Possibly not too much Privacy

Maureen was a wonderful host and so kind in seeing to my dietary requests and making sure I was comfortable. Highly recommend!

Maureen is an excellent host, she made me feel very welcome. She was also very welcoming to my dog, and even cooked Pixie a sausage for breakfast which was very kind! And took in a parcel for me before my arrival - thank you, this was really helpful. I had a large, lovely and comfortable bedroom, great shower, and a delicious, very generous breakfast and packed lunch. Beautiful cat in residence too. The surrounding area is lovely and this was a great stop along our Great Glen Way walk from Fort William to Inverness. I'd recommend a stay here to anyone, thank you :)

Maureen was an excellent host, both friendly and helpful. From the moment we arrived, we were looked after. The breakfast was very filling - just what we needed to continue walking the Great Glen Way.
