Olu villa Resort

This is a very good 3 star property, clean, great outlook over the lake. It was very convenient for us and our Safari driver. Great value for money for a night or two. If you are going for dinner I'd recommend Chef Lady - 700m walk. Very very good. Breakfast was good too.

The place is located just by the beautiful lake. On a nice day you can see the amazing sunset from the hotel. The pool is very nice. Room is clean. The manager Nimal is super friendly. He is also the chef and cooks very delicious food. Nimal helped arrange our Safari tour at Yala National Park and the transportation from Tissa to Sigiria! Highly recommended for people who are staying at Tissa for the Safari.

Very quiet hotel, we were slightly off season I believe. Check in was good, grabbed lunch and it was tasty - flies are annoying but what can you do near a lakeside. Rooms were spacious & comfortable, bathroom was clean and also big. Recommend to go out earlier into town as well for food, as taxis can be hard to find - ubers are around 8-10 minute waits.

Communication could have been better in regards to the safari we booked through them as we didn't know the zone or any information really - including upon check in with them questioning when we wanted to do it however I thought I had booked the date 4 months prior upon pre booking the hotel, so slightly alarmed to find out on arrival it wasn't actually booked yet - maybe because lower season so they knew it wouldn't be booked out but as soon as we were on the safari it was truly amazing and well priced. We couldn't have been more happy that the hotel had booked it all for us. There is no card payments at this hotel which is sometimes hard when it is large sums of money.

Beautiful, large modern rooms that stayed so cool which was great compared to others in Sri Lanka. Large modern bathroom with good pressure and hot water. Absolutely amazing view over the lake aswell. The woman who was managing at the time was lovely and helpful when we did see her. She organised the transfer to the next hotel and also the safari. The safari guide was fantastic and had great knowledge. Great breakfast and tea each morning. There’s a great restaurant called Chef Lady which is around a 10-15 min walk (which is difficult in the heat or in the dark)

Think there were some staffing issues around the time we were there. There wasn’t really anyone present very often which is difficult when you have queries about certain things like transfers/excursions. We also missed dinner one night as we never saw any staff and had to go to Chef Lady. There’s no decent shops nearby unless you catch a tuktuk to the supermarket (not the fault of the hotel) so make sure you arrive with plenty of supplies.

Otel aracılığıyla safariye katıldık. Özellikle yorumlara bakarak bu oteli seçtik. Gelmeden önce rezervasyonumuzu yaptılar. Harika, güler yüzlü ve yardımsever çalışanları var. Otele geç giriş yaptık ve çok açtık bize harika bir lokal yemek hazırladılar. Sabah kahvaltımızı ise sabah 4te safariye giderken paket yaparak yanımıza verdiler. Hizmet kalitesi oldukça iyiydi. Büyük bir havuz ve güzel bir göl manzarası vardı. Temiz bir oda/tesisti ve banyosu oldukça büyüktü.

Sehr geräumiges Zimmer mit guter Ausstattung. Man hat eine schöne Terrasse mit herrlichem Blick auf den See. Sehr ruhige Lage, wirklich entspannte Atmosphäre. Alles sehr sauber, die Besitzerin ist immer da und unterhält einen. Es war eine tolle Erfahrung hier.

Es könnte hilfreich sein, einen Sonnenschirm im Bereich des Schwimmbeckens aufzustellen.
