The hostess is very responsive and kind, always trying to help with any issues that arise. Apartment was clean, kitchen was available all day long with free sweets and coffee and other cooking facilities.

La posizione frontemare

- Extremely good value for money despite all the negative issues listed below - Clean, well presented private room in a traditional Sicilian building - Good communication with the host by text and easy access via a key box entry arrangement - Within walking distance of the railway station but see below - Quiet, with windows and shutters closed but see below - Good view of the sea from the apartment but see below

- The location, although within walking distance of the station, requires walking some 0.4 km along a main road which has very narrow or non existent footways - The apartment is on the first floor and can only be accessed via a long step staircase - there is no one on hand to help with luggage - The apartment is located between two parts of a one way system. Although the view is good it can only be seen from the apartment if the balcony door and shutters are open, exposing the room to traffic noise. The room does have air con though - Although well located for the railway station it is around 2km from the centre of Taormina. Getting to Taormina either requires a long climb from the sea front up to the town on unmade footpaths or a bus ride from the station - There is very little to do in the immediate vicinity of the apartment
