Very clean, very quiet, charming host.

Nigel was friendly, bike storage was inside the house, breakfast was good.

As far as I could make out, all electrical items in the room were running off one socket thru multigang adapters, which is unlikely to pass an electrical inspection. I'm not a fan of flannelette bedding, including the pillows, certainly much prefer white cotton in guest house accommodation, as most people would. The bedding provided did seem well past its best, very bobbly. The internet connection was very slow so the TV player streaming was a waste of time. Not worth mentioning much of this at the time as nothing could have been done about it during our stay.

Excellent breakfast

Everything you would expect for breakfast was there and more, lots of choice, very good.

Breakfast was good but it would have been nice to have a choice of eggs apart from fried. As it happened we were happy with a fried egg but on another day we might have wished for scrambled or boiled.

We were rather surprised at the bed linen which was flanelette, rough to the touch and too warm for the time of year. Without wishing to be unkind, we would recommend upgrading the bed linen. No need for 100% cotton, 50-50 polyester/cotton would be fine - and would save too much ironing!

Nigel was very welcoming, my room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was excellent and set me up for the day.

Nice room. Great selection for breakfast even though we were the only people in. Bikes were safely stored in the house. Nigel was very friendly and helpful, suggesting a place to eat. Nice sofa in the bedroom. All in all a great stay.
