Trulli del Carmine

Abbiamo soggiornato ai Trulli del Carmine e siamo rimasti incantati . La struttura è immersa nel verde e circondata da splendidi trulli. Marina e Leonardo sono persone meravigliose: ci hanno accolti con calore e ci hanno fatti sentire subito a casa. Ogni mattina ci attendeva una colazione deliziosa e abbondante con prodotti locali, dal profumo indescrivibile. Le camere sono particolari ed eleganti, curate nei dettagli e pulite quotidianamente. La piscina è bellissima e sempre perfetta, e i gattini della struttura aggiungono un tocco di dolcezza in più. L’atmosfera è familiare e rilassante. Ogni giorno abbiamo ricevuto consigli preziosi per scoprire al meglio la Valle d’Itria. Ho amato ogni momento del soggiorno e non vedo l’ora di tornare. Consigliatissimo!

Das B&B liegt etwas außerhalb von Martina Franca auf einem weitläufigen Grundstück. Das absolute Highlight ist ein großer, sehr sauberer Pool, den man fast immer für sich alleine hat. Wir wohnten in einem schönen Trulli. Die Platzverhältnisse darin sind naturgemäß etwas eingeschränkt. Auf dem ganzen Grundstück sind Sitzmöglichkeiten verteilt, so dass jeder einen Platz zum entspannen finden kann, wenn er es möchte. Die Lage ist sehr gut, um Ausflüge zu unternehmen z.B. nach Alberobello oder Richtung Monopoli oder Castellana Grotta oder auch weiter südlich nach Tarent. Das Eigentümerehepaar, Marina und Leonardo, ist sehr freundlich und hilfreich für Vorschläge für Ausflüge und auch Abendessen - war immer eine sehr gute Wahl. Sie tätigen auch Reservierungen, wenn man es möchte. Leonardo hat uns einen Sonnenschirm angeboten, falls wir an einen öffentlichen Strand gehen wollten. Das Frühstück war äußerst reichhaltig. Sowohl süß als auch herzhaft, Obst und Joghurt war vorhanden, so dass keine Wünsche offen blieben. Im Gegenteil, das Frühstück hat für den kompletten Tag gesättigt.

The hosts Leonardo & Marina set this place apart from the rest. They are so incredibly friendly and welcoming and really do make you feel right at home when you are staying there. The breakfasts from Marina are absolutely delicious and the recommendations from Leonardo will set you up for the day. Also the pool was really clean and the perfect temperature and a relaxing way to spend a morning or afternoon. Highly highly recommend this place to any travellers 🩷

When we arrived, Leonardo greeted us with a warm smile and said: “The most important thing is that you feel at home.” And that’s exactly how we felt – every single moment of our stay. Leonardo and his wife are exceptionally kind-hearted hosts, present with warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care. Whether it’s a lighthearted conversation, a spontaneous local tip, or a deeper, more personal exchange – they are always there with an open heart. Their presence is never intrusive, but gently reassuring – simply and beautifully human. The villa itself is a small paradise: tastefully and lovingly decorated with attention to every detail. Everything is spotless, the property calm and peaceful, imbued with a unique atmosphere – the perfect place to breathe, arrive, and truly feel at ease. The breakfast deserves a special mention – delicious and thoughtfully prepared. So does the location: wonderfully quiet, surrounded by nature, yet surprisingly close to many beautiful and worthwhile destinations – an ideal base for discovering the many facets of southern Italy. Beyond the beauty of the place, it was above all the hosts who made this stay unforgettable. More than just accommodation – this is a place that touches the heart. Charming country house with a trullo in a typical Puglian country lane with stone dry walls- idyllic. And a large swimming pool in the grounds for that refreshing early morning swim! Perfect for those with car, travelling and exploring gorgeous Puglia.

Nothing to NOT like about the property!!

Marina and Leonardo have created a beautiful Oasis, so peaceful and quiet and are wonderful hosts, the breakfast was wonderful and Leonardo, made some great suggestions for restaurants and is very knowledgable of the surrounds areas, the pool is fabulous, we highly recommend this place and will definitely return.

Our experience here was very much perfect from our arrival to our departure. Our hosts made us feel like family and we certainly had an unforgettable stay. The trulli’s give a very authentic experience to stay in and the grounds of the property are very relaxing and peaceful. Breakfast was fantastic. As you can imagine, there’s something for everyone with this delicious spread. Also the home made dishes were the icing on the cake. Recommendations throughout our stay were great, whether they were restaurants in the local town or beaches further afield - we can certainly agree with the top tips. We love Martina Franca so this was a perfect location for us to return to. As you can imagine we couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.

If you are looking for a traditional old Trulli house experience, this is your place to book. In addition to 3 holiday units (all of them in traditional old stone houses) you will find here an amazing, well maintained garden and a really nice swimming pool area. The hosts are super friendly, providing many useful tips about the surrounding area. Your breakfasts will be delicious and filling and your room will be cleaned every day. The location is perfect for a "base camp" if you want to see Apulia with it's picturesque jewel-towns like Martina Franca, Locorotondo or Alberobello.

You have to keep in mind that trulli stone houses have very thick walls, meaning there is no wifi inside (only outside). The tennis court is out of order I think (looks old and not maintained), this can be misleading in the booking.com description.

Leonardo and Marina are fabulous hosts. We enjoyed engaging, informative conversations with them and excellent homecooked breakfasts with fresh delicious fruit and cappuccino. The rooms are very clean with local creative, charming artefacts in a very peaceful natural setting. The pool was surprisingly large enough to do short lap swims.

There were no negatives however if you are not used to driving in Italy, time your dinner so that you can arrive before dark because roads are narrow and lined with the stone walled trullis common to the local landscape.
