The location is great and we had a great view of the river from our room. There is a shared kitchen as well. The owner is extremely nice and accommodating.

The welcome was heartfelt. The breakfast was good and the coffee marvellous. There are great places to visit if you go up the hill - down the hill not so great

Three flights of stairs without lift

Very comfortable room (also very clean) only a short walk from the bus/train station. It's also just across the road from the pier where the Douro River Cruises depart. Breakfast was great and our hosts were very accommodating.

The people running this place were amazing – so, so helpful and eager to assist. Not often that you receive genuine smiles and willingness to help. Place was spotless. Very well-located.

The owners were very hospitable and friendly. Very attentive to our needs. Breakfast was very good. We chose a room with private Bathroom and it was great. It was on the third floor so it was a walk up. However we managed and we are both 74. All in all very clean, comfortable, air conditioned.

It’s and older hostel so no elevator. Room was on the third floor so lots of stairs. But for the price and cleanliness of the entire building, friendly owners would most definitely stay again. Close to everything.
